As an attorney, Sam has always been dedicated to using her legal knowledge and experience to empower her clients while representing them with the utmost integrity and care.


  • 23 Years as a Missouri-licensed trial lawyer based in Franklin County
    (licensed April 2000)

    • Independently prepared and conducted multiple jury trials in Franklin County and several hundred bench trials in Franklin County, Gasconade County, and surrounding counties

  • 3 Years as Franklin County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney
    (2000-2003)

    • Tripled convictions for violent crimes against women and teens

    • Developed and delivered POST certified training program on investigation of domestic violence cases for all Franklin County police departments

    • Wrote federal grant to fund domestic violence and sex crimes unit

    • Prepared and conducted bench trials and jury trials in cases ranging from misdemeanors to unclassified (most serious level) felonies

  •  1 Year working with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, Franklin County Outreach Office, while starting private law practice
    (2003-2004)

    • Provided legal representation from initial consultation through trial for indigent clients seeking orders of protection.

    • Developed and delivered community education programs to combat domestic violence

  • 5 Years as Presiding Municipal Judge, City of Eureka, Missouri
    (2018-2023)

  • 20 Years in Private Law Practice
    (2003-present)

    • Independently owned and operated local law firm since 2003, primarily serving Franklin and Gasconade Counties

    • Certified Guardian ad Litem (children’s advocate)

    • Certified Mediator

    • Defense Attorney Consultant for Franklin County Co-Occurring Treatment Court (mental health/drug court program)

    • Contracted parent attorney for Gasconade County and Osage County Juvenile Courts
